The Hotel Les Echevins is to be found in the heart of Tarascon, not far from the city’s places of historic interest.
A stone’s throw from the hotel stands the ‘Château du Roi René’, one of France’s finest mediæval castles. It was completed in 1449 by the prince fondly remembered by the inhabitants of Provence as ‘Roi René’. Just opposite stands Saint-Martha’s Church, a collegiate church with a Romanesque and a Gothic part.

Strolling through the streets in the vicinity of the hotel, you can admire the numerous private mansions that bear witness to the city’s rich past, in particular the town hall, an elegant 17th-century building.
